The Move Forward Party ( MFP) has vowed to use Sunday’s Rayong by-election victory as a springboard for winning the following general election.
Pita Limjaroenrat, the president of the MFP, stated that Pongsathorn Sornpetnarin received 60 % of voters in the illegal by-election results in Constituency 3 that covered the Klang area yesterday.
Mr. Pongsathorn won the chair with 39, 296 vote, according to the Rayong vote committee, defeating Banyat Jetnajan of the Democrat Party, who received 26, 376 votes. Ruengchai Sombatphuthorn, a member of the Nation Building Labour Party, came in third with 881. 56 % of the 122, 582 eligible voters showed up to cast their ballots on Sunday at 207 polling places.
There were 899 votes that were spoiled.
Nakhon-chai Khunnarong, a member of the MFP who resigned as an MP after learning of his previous conviction and jail sentence for fraud, was replaced by the by-election.
Pongsathorn received 11, 000 more seats than Nakhonchai, according to Mr. Pita, a sign of the group’s rising popularity in the county.
” We’ll continue to build on this velocity.” We will be more determined to plan for votes in order to ultimately win the upcoming general vote, he said.
The Democrat participant, Dr. Banyat, used Facebook to express his gratitude to those who had supported him.
He claimed that despite losing, he received a lot more seats than in the public vote on May 14.
