Bus runs over construction worker on Anson Road; driver suspended

An SMRT bus driver has been suspended after an accident involving a worker on Thursday ( Jun 27 ) near a construction site in Singapore.

The 33-year-old contractor turns his back on the customers after placing a visitors cone on the left-most street of Anson Road.

The vehicle, turning in from Palmer Road, finally hit and ran over him.

The bus driver and another employee helped the employee sit up and get on his feet after the effects. &nbsp,

Around 5.25 p.m., according to authorities, were called to the scene and the employee was taken to the hospital.

No people were on the vehicle at the time, according to SMRT, and the 48-year-old male bus drivers was suspended after the incident involving company 970.
