Nine American nationals were detained earlier in Phuket for disturbing the public’s order after police received numerous complaints from locals and tourists.

According to Pol Col Ekarat Plaiduang, director of the Chalong police station, the group reported the disturbances on Thursday morning when they rode their motorcycles recklessly and loudly on Khok San Road, which is located in the resort island’s Muang district.

The pedestrians were located by officers the following morning. For their late-night trip, the riders had rented bikes from the Patong neighborhood.

All nine were called to the police stop on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

Their papers were reviewed, and they were immediately fined for their behavior, which have been publicly recorded.
