According to authorities, a Chinese national who had illegally entered Thailand from Myanmar was detained as he attempted to cross the border into Cambodia where he planned to work at a Poipet call center for a con procedure.

On Thursday, Sa Kaeo province’s border district’s Yan Zi Pong, 27, was detained by police from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD ) officers in front of a food truck.

Police were informed by the Central Investigation Bureau ( CIB ) that a Chinese national was setting up shop in Cambodia via a natural border crossing between Bangkok and Aranyaprathet. According to investigators, he wanted to work it for a contact center con group in Poipet area on Friday.

Officers who were keeping an eye on the man’s movements gradually discovered him at the Rong Klua frontier industry. They requested that immigration officers check his journey records, but he omitted them.

The person admitted during questioning that he had entered Thailand from Myanmar and that he was looking to work in Poipet.

The person has been accused of entering the country without permission and staying there illegally. He was taken to the Khlong Luek police place for legitimate action by officials.
