Three weeks after he jumped into the Golok River to avoid being detained by Indonesian authorities while attempting to enter the neighboring nation through an illegitimate way, firefighters found the body of a Thai national on Friday.

Subear Dallah, 22, was found dead in the valley on Friday night after being missing since Tuesday, according to volunteers.

On Tuesday, the man entered Kelantan position illegally from the southern province’s Sungai Kolok area using a boat. When Indonesian authorities discovered him on the bank of the river, he made the decision to return to Indian territory out of fear of being detained.

After witnesses saw him disappear into the water, volunteers were called.

Sungai Kolok Hospital is conducting the examination on his brain.

As part of a campaign against borders crimes, which included the idea of constructing a wall along the valley, Indonesian security authorities have taken more drastic measures to stop illegal immigrants from entering Kelantan. The main authorities in Kuala Lumpur rejected the proposal.
