The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will set up a panel to work with the Royal Thai Police to review zoning pertaining to restaurants, bars and entertainment venues according to people’s current life-style in terms of dining.
Bangkok chief excutive Chadchart Sittipunt mentioned on Tuesday the inside Ministry had classified dining zones in three areas which includes Patpong Road, Makkasan Road around RCA, and Ratchadaphisek Road near Huai Khwang and the Sutthisan area since 2002 in order to regulate tourists and prevent them from causing a disturbance in order to local residents.

Mr Chadchart said he has designated his advisor, Pol Gen Adit Ngamjitsuksri, to work on this matter and re-zoning proposals will be submitted towards the Interior Ministry meant for consideration.
