Surachate” Great Joke” Hakparn, a sidelined lieutenant police chief, has re-submitted his grievance to Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in response to the supposedly unjust appointment of the present police chief.

Pol Gen Surachate questioned why the Police Commission, which was led by the prime minister, promoted Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol to the position of chief last year in his complaint to the National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC).

On September 30, Pol Gen Torsak will leave, and Pol Gen Surachate thinks he should be one of the front-runners for the position, just as he was a year ago. He has been suspended from the army pending further inquiries into alleged links to web gambling, though. He is appealing the departure, upheld last week by the Police Commission, to a policeman benefits commission.

According to Pol Gen Surachate, offers may be based on the seniority and abilities of candidates, as required by the Royal Thai Police Act. Prior to the appointment of the new captain last year, Pol Gen Torsak did not hold the position of most top.

At that time, Pol Gen Roy Ingkapairote was the most mature candidate, said Pol Gen Surachate, who was also among those seen as finalists.

Pol Gen Torsak is the Crown Property Bureau’s mind, Lord Chamberlain, and ACM Satitpong Sukvimol’s nephew.

After Pol Gen Torsak&nbsp, was named commander, &nbsp, Pol Gen Roy was appointed as the director- general of the National Security Council. He did even retire at the end of September.

Pol Gen Surachate claimed to have first lodged a grievance against Mr. Srettha on April 22 but later withdrew it after finding out that former federal police chief and lawmaker Sereepisuth Temeeyaves had filed a similar issue.

Pol Gen Sereepisuth immediately withdrew his objection, said Pol Gen Surachate, adding that he did not know what was behind that choice.

Pol Gen Surachate alleges that the prime minister’s management of the mayor’s visit was a dereliction of duty by a common national under Section 157 of the Criminal Code.

Violators of the area are answerable to a prison term of one to 10 times and/or a great of 2, 000 to 20, 000 ringgit.
