Beyoncé: Meet the designer who made her sparkle on tour

Beyoncé’s Renaissance world journey was jam-packed with style moments, with her three-hour sets showcasing a variety of stunning looks.

That came in the form of a flowing bright green sari—a standard South Asian outfit—for her Atlanta performance.

Gupta Gaurav, an American clothing designer, created it, and it took hundreds of hours to perfect.

“My purpose in life is for people to think differently,” he tells Eastern Network BBC.

Gaurav created three feels for the world tour of the Renaissance. He even created Beyoncé’s glass body suit and a gem-encrusted dress in addition to the fluorescent green sculpted sari.

The gown and dress were painstakingly designed and made after his runway performances at Paris Fashion Week.

The gown, according to Gaurav, took more than 200 hours to make, and he and his team worked on it by hand lace 50, 000 different crystals, rhinestones and beads.

It took Gaurav and his team more than 500 hours to complete the glass body suit, an initial design for Beyoncé.

Gaurav’s designs for the Cuff It singer were heavily influenced by Indian culture and saris, but he did n’t initially include them in his collection after graduating from fashion school.

He says,” I relooked at the sari.”

One of the oldest costumes still in existence, this one is really awesome. not just from an American view, but also from a global one.

The old Hindu idea of the golden pregnancy, or Hirayagarbha, from which the entire universe was created, serves as the inspiration for Gaurav’s creations.

He believes that his inspiration is virtually limitless.

Gaurav claims to be fascinated by everything intangible, combining concepts from all over the cosmos, including “patterns in clouds, stars, and comets,” with American story and culture.

India is starting to have a vibe, he says.

Gaurav aims to incorporate traditional thoughts from his nation with a” better, younger, cooler” panache.

This idea, which he refers to as “future basic,” has become an essential component of the aesthetic of his brand.

Beyoncé is n’t Gaurav’s first A-list client, though; the past two years in particular have been crucial for him.

He dressed B Cardi for the No Passion music videos, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for Cannes, and Megan Thee Stallion for Oscars in 2022.

And this year, he created a different look for Cardi, this time for the Grammy Awards, wearing what some people thought was one of the best gowns that day.

He claims,” I absolutely had to create Cardi’s dress in two times.”

” Many people made it overnight, day and night, and it was flown to Los Angeles after that.”

Gaurav, however, does n’t mind the pressure.

” I aspire to it.” I find it to be very exciting,” he says.

It’s a bargain every time, right? Even after all this effort, it might still not meet her, and she might choose to wear something different.

He has worked for some of the greatest painters in the world, but he does not regard them as actors and artists.

He says,” I feel like I’m meeting like-minded people who are on a particular amount in life.”

Gaurav is of the opinion that he was created to advance American society globally.

He was the second Indian custom to receive an invitation to Paris Fashion Week this year for the Shunya show, which was held in Sanskrit for zero, a quantity and philosophical idea that was first discovered in India.

He claims that” There is a moment happening for India and Indians globally right now.”

He continues,” The past two years have been extremely magical.”

He has a long list of celebrities in the future that he would adore working with. He mentions a few people, including Lady Gaga, Deepika Padukone, Adele, Zendaya, and Harry Styles.

He claims,” I’m not really realizing how fortunate I am right now because I’ve really entered it.”
