Belgian arrested for allegedly killing compatriot

BUENG KAN: A French gentleman, 42, was arrested for allegedly killing a French friend, 49, in this northern territory and burning the figure near his house.

Authorities said the suspect – identified only as Steve – was arrested in opposite Nakhon Phanom county after carrying the victim’s bike on his delivery truck and dumping it in a lake in Ban Phaeng city of Nakhon Phanom on Sunday. He was stopped for a research by narcotics reduction police.

Authorities said he confessed that the bike belonged to a companion he had shot dead at his home in tambon Seka Tai in Seka city of Bueng Kan on Friday.

Steve told officers that the late companion, who he identified as Christophe, had often asked him for cash. When he rejected the desire on Friday, he said, Cristophe  threatened to injure his household and light his house.

He therefore shot the friend three days with a. 22 revolver, and scorched the body in a pit filled with foam rubber and sticks.
