“Barney & Buddies, ” it seems, was not always a delighted family behind the scenes.
Based on a new docuseries, “I Love You, You Hate Me, ” the beloved children’s display , which released the acting careers of Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, was the target of a large amount of hate.
The trailer for the two-part collection shows Bob Western, a Barney performer, recalling death dangers he received since the purple dinosaur.
“They were violent and explicit, death and dismemberment of my family, ” he says. “They were gonna come and find me, and they also were going to destroy me. ”
The show was created within 1992 by Sheryl Leach, Kathy Parker and Dennis DeShazer.
“Barney stands for inclusion, acceptance. You should adore everyone, we all have Sheryl Leach to thank for that, ” says a collection in the trailer, which asks “Why does the world love to dislike? ”
“I Like You, You Hate Me” is set in order to premiere Oct. 12 on Peacock.
