Five persons, including the pilot, were hurt when a car caught on fire on Rama IX Road in Bangkok on Saturday night, injuring five others, including the vehicle. On Srinakarin Road, the incident took place close to the Premier crossing.
The flames started at 8.10am and took 15 minutes to put out. The first notion was that the accident was to blame. The car hit a roadblock at a U-turn and overturned, catching fire, authorities said.
The car only used liquefied petroleum gas ( LPG) as gas, but this was not thought to be the cause of the fire. Officers questions are continuing.
