A Bangkok MP who was fired from the now-defunct Move Forward Party in 2023 for sexual abuse has been accused of raping a Japanese holiday in Chiang Mai.  ,
According to reports, law enforcement have apparently approached political leaders to request that Chaiyamparwaan Manpianjit, who is a member of the Thai Progressive Party, be given the opportunity to be interrogated.
The Chinese woman claimed the lawmaker raped her while she was intoxicated in a problem filed with Muang Chiang Mai officers.
According to local media publications, the Chiang Mai Court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Chaiyamparwaan on February 4, and the event took place on January 9.
Following an investigation, authorities found ample grounds to deal with a charge against Mr Chaiyamphawan. Due to his reputation as an MP, authorities have formally requested that parliament approve of questioning him.
Despite many attempts by writers to achieve Mr Chaiyamparwaan for remark, he remains unattainable.
Thin Muhamad Noor Matha, the leader of the house, and his assistant, Pol Sub Lt Arpath Sukhanunth, both claimed to have not received a formal notice from the judge.
According to Pol Sub Lt Arpath, members of parliament has review and approve a request, but the procedure won’t take long.
Watcharaphol Butmonkhol, the head of the Thai Progressive Party, claimed that he has not spoken with Mr. Chaiyamparwaan however.
” We must wait for the police investigation because we need to grant Mr. Chaiyamparwaan another chance second,” he said.
” This is Mr Chaiyamparwaan’s personal matter. He neglected to let the group know about his journey to Chiang Mai. The group is attempting to get in touch with him.
He acknowledged that Mr. Chaiyamparwaan had previously been accused of a similar charge, but he said the party may wait until the investigation’s findings before deciding what, if any, course of action it may get.  ,
In November 2023, Mr Chaiyamparwaan , was expelled from the Move Forward Party, after an internal investigation concluded that he had sexually harassed three aides.
