Bangkok monorail spur test run in June with free rides

New way connects with big entertainment establishments

The Pink Line funicular branch line to Muang Thong Thani’s operator will provide free excursions during a exam run in June before complete service&nbsp, begins a month later.

The three-kilometer drive from Si Rat place on the main route to Muang Thong Thani will start test runs on Wednesday, according to Transport Minister Suriya Jungrangreangkit, with complimentary travel until the whole opening on July 19 when fares may range from 15 to 22 baht.

The Bangkok Rapid Transit Authority owns The Pink Line, and Northern Bangkok Monorail Co, a joint venture with the BTS skytrain coach operator, runs it.

The Muang Thong Thani place will link the area’s main line with all of its facilities for concerts, events, sports, and other events.
