B50 million bank balance requirement stays in casino bill for now

According to Minister, the congress can always alter the law in the future.

He claimed that just 10,000 people in Thailand have 50 million Thai Baht in bank accounts. Instead, he suggested that Thai visitors to casinos may have paid a five thousand bass entrance fee for each person and have been paying income tax to the Revenue Department for three consecutive years.

Mr. Julapun addressed concerns that running gambling in Thailand might entice grey and black sector companies, possible turning Thailand into a hotspot for money fraud.

He stated that he doesn’t think this may occur because procedures may be governed by proven standards at the national level.

According to Mr. Julapun, foreign investors interested in investing in an entertainment complex with a price of more than 100 billion ringgit are unlikely to bear any illegal activities it.

Numerous foreign investors in this field have made investments in various nations, including the US, Singapore, and Japan. His claim that if they break the law, their licenses could also be suspended in different nations.

Investors must work with the greatest accountability, while the entertainment complex’s laws will need a five-year review of shareholders ‘ adherence to ensure they are conducting business officially, according to Mr. Julapun.

The Pheu Thai Party, which established the authorities, is” a flagship plan,” he said, referring to the establishment of a casino in Thailand.
