Floods in 4 southern Thai provinces affect bus, train services

Flooding remained in the southwestern Thai regions of Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ranong and Surat Thani on Sunday, hampering bus and coach services.

Pasakorn Boonyalak, director-general of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, said that flood affected 43, 595 individuals in the four southern regions.

In Chumphon, storms continued in Muang, Pathiu, Sawi and Thung Tako regions.

In Nakhon Si Thammarat, rainwater was reported in Cha-uat, Chalerm Prakiat, Chang Klang, Chian Yai, Khanom, Muang, Nop Phitam, Pak Phanang, Phra Phrom, Sichon and Tha Sala regions.

In Ranong, storms hit Kraburi, La-un and Muang city.

In Surat Thani, flood occurred in Don Sak, Kanchanadit, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Muang, Tha Chana and Tha Chang regions. Two Myanmar workers went missing early on Sunday night in Koh Samui after a disaster struck a design site.

Floodwater was declining in Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Ranong but rising in Surat Thani, Mr Pasakorn said.

The State Railway of Thailand said on Sunday that due to flooding in Chumphon, it had suspended” Special Convey”,” Express”,” Rapid” and transport trains from Bangkok to Hat Yai, Kantang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Padang Besar, Sungai Kolok, Trang and Yala facilities.

Some additional southern railways had their routes changed by the state sector. The” Special Express” train on the Bangkok-Surat Thani route was terminating in Chomphon, and departing from there in the other direction. &nbsp,

Woman arrested after Thai-British beauty queen loses B4m in ‘fake cop’ scam

A 40-year-old girl was detained in Chaiyaphum state on suspicion of defrauding Thai-British beauty queen Charlotte Austin of$ 4 million by opening a pony bank account for a scam group operating out of Cambodia.

Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phewphan, acting director of the&nbsp, Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, said on Sunday that the person suspect, identified just as Parichat, was arrested at a home in the northern province of Chaiyaphum on Saturday.

The girl and her father had been illegally brought into Cambodia from Sa Kaeo state a few days before the charm monarch was deceived, according to the acting director.

On Thai land, the person think was brought to a tower where a Chinese-led rip-off group operated. She was hired for 3,500 ringgit to opened a bank account for the group. In order to open the account, the suspect had her mouth scanned inside the tower.

The suspect claimed to have spoken to about 20 Thai citizens in the tower, which also contained fake Thai authorities ‘ pretending to be scammers.

According to Pol Lt. Gen. Trairong, Ms. Austin’s money was transferred to Ms. Parichat’s accounts, converted into digital wealth, and forwarded to a Chinese suspect’s account. An investigation into the situation was continuing, he said.

A person claiming to be a Department of Special Investigation established called on December 7 and Ms. Austin claimed to have received the call last Tuesday.

He informed her that she was suspected of laundering cash in a Stark Corporation scandal-hit event. The visitor ordered her to move 4 million ringgit so that “authorities” was check whether she was innocent.

Illegal Chinese construction workers arrested in Bangkok’s ‘Little China’

In the Vajiralongkorn pond, nine Myanmar nationals are being detained on a speedboat.

Five Chinese males aged 34-61 were arrested in Bangkok’s Huay Khwang area, dubbed” Little China”, while working improperly at a tower construction site.

Li Guahao, 36, Li Kaiwen, 61, Li Degao, 58, Feng Guayan, 41, and Tang Xianiao, 34 were arrested at a tower construction site on Ratchadaphisek Road in Hua Khwang at about 5.30pm on Saturday.

The five Chinese people, according to police, were on tourist visa but were employed improperly at the construction site, earning about 2,200 baht per day. Some of them used a shovel to evict the walls of an old structure it.

Bangkok’s Huay Khwang area is dubbed” Little China” because there are many Chinese-funded firms there.

In the Thong Pha Phum city of Kanchanaburi, military earlier on Saturday stopped a machine boat carrying nine improper Myanmar workers.

Authorities arrested the migrants along with two Thai males, both natives of Kanchanaburi’s Sangkhlaburi city. According to the officers, they charged each illegal immigrant with 700 ringgit for a journey from Sangkhlaburi’s Thong Phae Phum district’s Tha Phae Pier.

Some of the illegal workers said they wanted to work in different Thai regions farther from the frontier, and had each paid 10, 000-13, 000 ringgit to human smugglers. According to other Myanmar workers, they paid 139,000 ringgit each to travel to Malaysia to find work.

Bangkokians oppose congestion charge, support waste collection fee: poll

Saudi Arabian couple survive after Jet Ski capsizes off Pattaya

A Saudi Arabian couple was carefully saved after their Jet Ski capsized a few kilometers off Jomtien shore.

Alamri Abdulrahman Mahdi, 26, swam to Jomtien beach at 12.36 a.m. on Saturday, and rescue workers were informed of the event. The sluggish gentleman, who was wearing a life coat, called citizens to aid his wife who was moored abroad in their occupied Jet Ski car.

The Jet Ski was reportedly rented by Mr. Mahdi for an afternoon on Friday night when it capsized abroad. They floated in the water for about five days before he finally made the decision to head to the beach and seek assistance.

Alamri Atheer Saeed, a member of the rescue crew, was later discovered floating about two kilometers from Jomtien shore. The trembling and exhausted person had managed to stay afloat using the aid of a life jacket.

The pair embraced each other at their seaside reunion, and tourists and locals yelled out violently.
