Mr. Bolbongse acknowledged that the difficulty of Myanmar’s current circumstances makes it challenging to implement the discussion.

Additionally, discussions included the need to tackle the rise in international crime and cross-border issues brought on by Myanmar’s inside instability.

Mr. Bolbongse urged the gathering to stop hostility and violence between all involved parties, saying that this would serve as the foundation for an open dialogue that might lead to positive developments in Myanmar. This diverse dialogue received overwhelming support from all member states.

The lead singer of a well-known Thai steel group has been detained in Bangkok on suspicion of being a part of a gambling site that generates more than 50 million baht per month.

Officials from the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB ) apprehended Khiwatkarin Chaisuriyakul, the lead singer of Versus, at his apartment space in the Ramkhamhaeng place, Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phiewphan, CCIB captain, said on Friday.

Other members of the network connected to the gaming websites lenhuay365 and ufabet9 had previously been detained by police. They apparently encouraged customers to deposit money online, with online administrators offering advice on how to use applications and make money transfers.

Following a month-long investigation, authorities had obtained sufficient information to get search and arrest warrants for over 60 people who had opened animal bank accounts for the community, which had more than 50 million baht in circulation.

According to the CCIB captain, seven more imprisonment warrants were therefore sought for those responsible for the establishment of significant horse accounts. The soldiers raided three spots in the Bang Kapi, Wang Thong Lang and Navamin-Lat Phrao places in Bangkok.

They eventually managed to assault Khiwatkarin, who they said was in charge of the site’s bank accounts, overseeing platforms and withdrawing cash from ATMs in Bangkok. He was detained in the Ramkhamhaeng neighborhood of his property room.

Seized from him was a Mercedes-Benz A200, a computer, a cellular telephone and 58 bank certificates.

During doubting, Khiwatkarin, 37, told officials that he had been spending more than he earned. He was forced to look for ways to make more money as a result.

Versus posted a message on its Facebook page to inform people of the imprisonment.

“Now, Fueang ( Khiwatkarin’s nickname ) is no longer a member of the band. We, the four remaining associates, are not aware of Fueang’s sources of income. Everyone in our group, including music videos and songs, is evenly distributed among us. Hub Records has provided only monetary assistance to us.

“We feel shocked and sad, like people. Fueang was a great group associate who was effective at all times. Versus must then take a break for a while until the right time comes along or if someone can play the role of a singer in place of Fueang. ”

After a wild elephant killed a feminine visitor by killing it, Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei has been closed since December 12.

Yet, due to safety concerns, some garden areas remain off-limits to visitors, such as roads to rivers and common beliefs, according to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation.

A new garden chief has been appointed in conjunction with the reopening. Adison Hemathanon, who was reportedly stepping down for health reasons, may be replaced by Jirachai Arkajak, the commander of the Phu Luang Wildlife Research Station in Loei, according to the office.

Following the visitor tourist’s fatality on December 11, Mr. Jirachai may face the challenge of managing the trouble of wild animals.

The elephant attacked the 49-year-old girl from Chachoengsao state while she was walking along a road from her campground to the Phen Phop Mai river.

Mr. Jirachai was chosen for his experience in managing wild elephants, and he has conducted studies of the rhino population and movement in Phetchabun’s Nam Nao National Park and Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary.

In a related growth, a House committee studying lasting solutions to the problem of wild animals reported that in recent years, there have been more human fatalities and injuries.

The committee’s deputy president, Salit Butnain, reported that in the 2024 fiscal year that ended on September 30th, 34 people were hurt and 39 died, which is the highest number of wild elephant murders in Thailand since records began years ago.

Court sides with driver in vehicle tax dispute

A driver who had not paid his traffic fines had a victory in a court decision. The Department of Land Transport ( DLT) had fought against the government’s decision to not issue a vehicle tax sticker.

The district’s attorney, Amnat Kaewprasong, who had brought the case against the DLT, its director-general, the Bangkok Land Transport company, and the Royal Thai Police, was ordered by the Central Administrative Court on Wednesday to challenge the badge.

Because the case involved operational agencies or government representatives performing their duties, the lawsuit claimed that the event fell under the purview of the &nbsp, Administrative Court.

After receiving his quarterly revenue settlement, the plaintiff claimed that the district’s membership division did not issue a vehicle tax sticker. Mr. Amnat just received a tax transaction receipt that was stamped, with the option to use it for 30 days in place of the tax sticker.

Additionally, it printed out a file containing information on traffic offenses that required to be reported to Mr. Amnat before the sticker, which drivers may show on their vehicle’s windshield to indicate that taxes have been paid.

The DLT defended its choice, citing a police-related agreement to share digital data to aid law enforcement and prosecute drivers who don’t give fines on time. According to the agreement, cars ‘ vehicle tax registration may remain suspended for failing to pay fines on time.

The plaintiff claimed that the plan was unlawful because it prevented cars from being able to sue for the charges, which are issued by officers without the need for a permit or court order.

The court determined that the contract was in error and did not follow the Land Traffic Act’s rules and procedures. Thus, the ministry had no power to postpone issuing the duty sticker to Mr Amnat, it said.

It said the unwillingness to challenge the tax decal violated the complainant’s rights. Taxes are directly related to the car, while fines are related to the vehicle. The court’s decision states that linking the two is unlawful and harmful to the driver.

The judge ordered the office to challenge the badge within three days, and pay compensation to the claimant of 3, 151.50 ringgit, plus interest. The other accused ‘ issues were dropped.

The police issued two announcements in October that made it possible to impose predetermined sanctions for traffic violations, according to a ruling from the Central Administrative Court in October.

The decision, which can still be appealed, potentially renders thousands of visitors cards issued since 2020 irrelevant.
