DANASAR: A Bali birthday bash featuring dog foods on the menu has spooked Indonesians on social media and drawn the attention of officers.  ,
In the Tabanan district of the island, law enforcement officers and an animal security organization raided the party.
The Bali Dog Guardians ( BDG) organization claimed to have discovered a cooked dog at the location.
After previously receiving information from a resident regarding a party with dog meat on the menu, its chairperson, Yanti Rosmiati, disclosed to local online news platform Detik on Monday ( Sep 9 ) that the raid was carried out on Saturday night.
” In the day we received a report from people, and in the night the BDG staff and I quickly went to the place”, she said.
Tabanan officers and BDG found keeps of meat, bones and pieces of a dog’s bones.
” First, they said the dog meat was gone. I inquired about the legs that were left. They denied it, saying it was all gone”, said Ms Yanti.
The group attendees admitted to bringing the puppy home and killing it by hitting its nose.
Ms. Yanti and the officers had a conversation with the partygoers who demanded a calm solution, but she said the incident would still be treated as an admitted animal abuse case.
I Nyoman Sumantara, the police chief in Tabanan, confirmed the occurrence and stated that the situation was still pending inquiries for the alleged murder, which would result in a three-month sentence or a US$ 2.9 good.
” There were 15 citizens who were questioned. Their claims that the residents who ate the dog meat they ate were true because the dogs were aggressive and frequently chased ( them ) were true.
” We are also looking into the allegations of this puppy abuse. Data from the murder scene is being collected”, he added.
BDG also uploaded a picture of the noise to its Instagram accounts, which sparked furious comments from netizens.
” I am truly astonished by such people. It appears as though there are no other options for eating. Hopefully those who have eaten ( the dog meat ) will soon get their bad karma”, said an Instagram user with the handle @novi_1590.
