Asian scammers nabbed in Pattaya

According to authorities, call centers were targeted at Chinese and Korean citizens.

13 Chinese and Korean offenders have been detained in Pattaya in connection with a call center fraud, according to the report.

Authorities raided two pleasure pool villas in Pattaya on Thursday, said Pol Maj Gen Thawatkiat Jindakuansanong, chief of Chon Buri Provincial Police.

They were acting on knowledge that claimed foreigners had been attempting to defraud citizens in their nations through call center fraud.

After searching the two palaces, police arrested 13 men and women of Chinese and Korean ethnicity and seized 30 computers, 30 cellular telephones and 30 phone.

Preliminary evaluation of the laptops revealed evidence of numerous Chinese and Korean chats intended to deceive victims into giving up their money.

Police claimed that the crew had established a call center to trick customers into buying fake vacation packages.

Additionally, authorities discovered that the patients ‘ funds had been converted to digital currency.
