Representatives from China, Japan, South Korea, and Australia are expected to attend a meeting of high-ranking immigration officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations( Asean ) in Phuket next week to discuss transborder crimes in the area.

According to Pol Lt Gen Pakphumpipat Sajjaphan, commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, the 26th Asean Directors-General of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Division of Ministries of Foreign Affairs Meeting ( DGICM ) will take place on the island province from August 7 – 11.
