Arson, bomb attacks at 11 spots in South

Insurgents released coordinated bomb and arson attacks upon convenience stores plus petrol stations on 11 places in three southern boundary provinces, causing considerable damage.

The attacks within Yala, Narathiwat plus Pattani began past due on Tuesday evening and continued directly into Wenesday morning. 3 people were reported to get been injured.

In Yala province, an explosive device exploded inside a 7-Eleven store at a PTT petrol station in Yaha district.

Pol Capt Sarayut Kochawong, an investigator at Yala police station, declared that about 11. 50pm a man  within the face mask and Muslim woman’s clothing strolled into the store plus placed a dark bag on the counter-top. He told the particular staff and clients to get out of the store if they did not want to die.

They all fled your local store. About  10 minutes later on a bomb in the bag went away. The explosion caused some damage to your local store but inflicted no casualties.

In Bannang Serial advanced technology attachment district, about midnight, four men drove past a 7-Eleven store on two motorcycles and threw an incendiary explosive device at the store, on Moo 2 town in tambon Bannang Sata. The open fire caused little damage.

Comparable time, a bomb went of at a Mini Big C store at Moo 2 of tambon Kayu Boko, Raman district, and an additional at a mobille phone signal tower with Moo 1 village. The two bombs caused minor damage.

Also in Yala, an explosive device went off at a 7-Eleven store from Moo 4 in tambon Po Seng of Muang district. A subsequent fireplace caused little damage to the store.

In adjacent Narathiwat province, a fire has been started at a 7-Eleven store at the PTT petrol station in Moo 4 in tambon Bacho, Bacho district, about 12. 45am. The store has been extensively damaged. The Myanmar delivery guy at the store was injured and admitted to Bacho Medical center.

Within Si Sakhon district, a fire caused comprehensive damage to a 7-Elevan store at a PTT petrol station within Si Sakhon Municipality. A boy, Abukori Kadir, 14, was burned on both legs and a woman, Wilaiwan Kaewsuk, 23, suffered chest pain.  

In Sungai Kolok district, there is a fire at a 7-Eleven store at a PTT petrol station in Tambon Pasemat Municipality. The fire spread to two fuel piumps, but was quickly put out. The store has been extensively damaged.

Arsonists also struck at a 7-Eleven store and a Mini Big C store at Moo 1 village in Cho Airong district associated with Narathiwat, causing a few damage.

In Pattani state, a bomb exploded about 12. 20am, followed by a fire, in Bang Chak petrol station at Moo 8 village in tambon Bo Thong of Nong Chik district on the Hat Yai-bound side of Highway 43. The fire spread to some Mini Big Chemical store inside the gas station, causing weighty damage.

Three fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. They were capable to bring the fire in check in two hrs. An oil pickup truck and two trailer-trucks parked at the gas station also caught fire and experienced major damage.

About 30 minutes after midnight, a fire causd major harm at a Mini Large C store in Moo 5 village in tambon Nam Dam of Thung Yang Daeng region.  

Police were checking out the attacks, which they said were obviously coordinated.
