Totally on B500 000 loan, believe in the shooting death of an intelligence official
A defense attorney has been appointed by the Royal Thai Army to observe a police investigation into the fatal killing of one of its intelligence officers in an after-legal closing Hua Hin table.
Jakkrit Worakul, 34, is accused of killing SM1 Rojchanaphon Rojchanapanich in a bar on Soi 80, a vibrant entertainment district off Phetkasem Road in Hua Hin. Three others were also hurt in the event.
Lt. Gen Arnuphab Sirimonthon, an military official, claimed that SM1 Rojchanaphon was an intelligence official at the Infantry Regiment Center in Pran Buri district of Prachuap Kiri Khan.
A witness reported to police that he witnessed a friend of the military commander slam into a woman, allegedly Mr. Jakkrit’s partner. Without saying anything, Mr Jakkrit reportedly shot the agent to death.
The suspect was free on parole of 500, 000 ringgit the day after the killing and turned himself in to the government that day.
According to Hua Hin Now, he was allegedly fired as an assistant by Hua Hin Police. Less than 500 meters from the police station was the murder scene.
Rojchanaphon’s home, accompanied by activist Guntouch Pongpaiboonwet, or Gun Jom Phalang, went to the Hua Hin police stop on Thursday to discuss the progress of the case.
Because the suspect has close ties to local police, Mr. Guntouch claimed Rojchanaphon’s community was concerned for their health. The family is concerned that the suspect wo n’t be punished, so they have also contacted the army and Mr. Guntouch for assistance.
Not far from the Hua Hin police station is the restaurant. I wonder why the restaurant is still available at 4am, which is past legitimate working time, and without regional police officers noticing”, said Mr Guntouch.
” I also want to understand why the bar allowed the patron to bring a revolver inside.”
Mr. Guntouch claimed that the family has requested that Provincial Police Division 7 replace the police officer in charge of the case because they eventually learned that surveillance cameras in the restaurant had reportedly been taken out.
The troops, however, has given the home 50, 000 baht as first aid.
