Bhumjaithai, Pheu Thai seen as bonding
Anutin Charnvirakul, the head of the Bhumjaithai Party, acknowledged that he and Newin Chidchob, the party’s co-founder, had a meeting with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra at the latter’s house in Bangkok on Sunday.
Mr. Anutin said he frequently went out for breakfast at Thaksin’s Chan Songla residence on Charan Sanitwong Road on Tuesday and that this time he asked Mr. Newin to join him for birthday celebrations.
” I asked Mr Newin to travel with me, and that’s the end of the story.
” It’s a personal issue for the day child,” said Mr Anutin, referring to Mr Newin, who turned 66 on Oct 4.
Mr. Anutin responded to a question about whether Thaksin and Mr. Newin had previously settled their differences. He claimed that the rumors about their relationship had deteriorated were entirely false.
After the previous led a group of Members to dissolve the People Power Party, a successor to the dissolved Thai Rak Thai Party founded by Thaksin, the past and Mr. Newin were thought to be at odds with one another. Then they shifted allegiance to Abhisit Vejiva’s victory as top in 2008 and to the Democrat Party.
The meeting between Thaksin and Nouin in the media generated curiosity because it appeared that both Mr. Newin and Thaksin are perceived as the de facto leaders of the decision Pheu Thai Party.
Mr. Anutin refuted rumors of a potential power-sharing agreement between Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai. Some political experts speculated that a deal would allow Anutin to thrive Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Thaksin’s youngest child, as prime minister, as they were close to or nearing.
According to Mr. Anutin, Mr. Newin did not make any social claims.
Ms. Paetongtarn claimed she had not been informed of the conference.
Rangsiman Rome, a record member and People’s Party deputy president, said on Tuesday that Bhumjaithai appears to be playing a leading role in the government and that it intends to amend the charter.
According to Mr. Rome, the political climate suggests that the government is not properly unified to quell fears of revolution.
The Senate, which retains what is predicted to be a significant part in the charter-rewrite battle, is seen as dominated by people with Bhumjaithai connections.
