Anguish for South Korea plane crash relatives amid grim salvage

As families waited for news of relatives who were killed in the weekend’s Jeju Air plane crash, there were screams of agony echoed through a lounge at Muan International Airport in South Korea on Monday ( Dec 30 ).

The Thai Boeing 737-800 slammed into a wall and burst into flames as a result of an emergency stomach landing.

All but two of the 181 customers and the crew aboard died.

Suffering people are extremely desperate and unhappy as they wait for the official recognition of their loved ones, hoping to hold reunions and effectively lament.

At a Monday briefing, an official apologized to people and said,” I apologise deeply… but the damage to the body is profound,” explaining how difficult it is for workers to recover remnants while keeping the information from the crash site intact.

He said,” Many cases have had arms and legs severed,” and his words suffocated the hearts of the waiting people.

Using hand images and DNA evaluation, officials have identified 146 of the victims, and are working hard on the 33 still to be verified.
