Ex- PM says work needed to give world’s youth trust

Anand urges education equality
At a seminar titled” The Scenario of Thai Society Future” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Population and Community Development Association ( PDA ) at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, former prime minister Anand Panyarachun urges urgent action to address education inequality.

Former prime minister Anand Panyarachun stated earlier that urgent action is required to address education disparities and restore trust to Thailand’s younger technology.

The Population and Community Development Association ( PDA ) organized the event at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, where Mr. Anand made the remarks during a speech he delivered during the” The Scenario of Thai Society Future” seminar.

The occasion was to mark the quarter- era anniversary of the PDA’s creation.

According to Mr. Anand, young people are a key component of creating a better nation and boosting Thailand’s economy, but many younger people have left the nation in search of a better prospect abroad.

It is because they have lost trust in their country, he said.

Mr Anand said they have witnessed their land deteriorating because of wickedness in a wide range of fields, such as the ego of officials, social injustice, and the decay of democracy.

However, the former prime minister said they even had lost confidence in the country’s parliamentary, administrative and judicial powers.

He argued that justice in society, particularly equal rights to a quality education, should be established in order to prevent younger generations from leaving Thailand. This would enable the younger generation to see trust in their country. He claimed that having a good education guarantees the right to equal opportunity.

People are born equal as humans, but when it comes to when children are three to four years older, inequality starts to develop when rich children are sent to good kindergartens to learn while some bad children are unable to receive a good education, according to Mr. Anand.

” They likewise face disparity regarding the school they studied at, even among those children who attend nurseries. This inequality has spread to the college stage.

“Education injustice causes uneven rights to chance when people live their lives.” Therefore, we need to fix]education to ensure equitable exposure to opportunity].”

In a broader sense, Mr. Anand argued that while every state has good intentions, it must work to make them happen rather than just talk about them.

He urged the government to work with the exclusive market in order to accomplish this. Over the course of 30 years, he has seen that the private business has been much more liberal, especially in terms of how to provide equal chances.

” All sectors must operate together, and if such points are accomplished, the younger generation will have second thoughts before leaving and instead have hope in their country, “he added.
