An edible garden, waterfall and ‘breathing gallery’: Chinese and Japanese gardens reopen with new attractions

The revitalized Chinese and Japanese gardens even show continued emphasis on conservation, said NParks. &nbsp,

For example, many structures within the Jurong Lake Gardens, such as the Guesthouse, were built with mass-engineered forest, a building materials comprising engineered wood products sourced from responsibly managed woodland. &nbsp,

All roads in the Chinese and Japanese gardens are constructed using carbon monoxide mineralized cement, which uses a process that recycles the oil while lowering graphite pollution during the building process.

The group also played a significant part in the renovation of Chinese and Japanese flowers, according to NParks. &nbsp,

The legislative committee said it gathered more than 14, 000 proposals from November 2016 to April 2017 for the landscapes, and integrated them into their layout where possible.

NParks even considered suggestions from industry experts and stakeholders regarding conducting the regeneration works carefully.

The newly redesigned Chinese and Japanese gardens, together with Lakeside Garden’s existing offerings, will offer the public yet more recreational options in the first national gardens in the heartlands.
