A person who was near the northern province of Nakhon Phanom during the Vietnam War has declared his search for a former Thai girl of his parents.
He wrote late last week that his father, a white American, had been near Nakhon Phanom between 1968 and 1971 and missed his Thai girl who was called” Oi”. The person on Facebook wrote that he wanted to learn more about her.
” My dad ( White/American ) was near Nakhon Phanom around 1968- 1971. At the time, he photographed his girl. I’ve often wondered what happened to her because he kept a large picture of her in our house when I was younger. Based on what he’s told me, she would be about 70 years old today”, the post read.
” He talked about her warmly, and I was told he wanted to marry her. My grandfather did n’t let that happen. My dad said her name is pronounced” Oi “in English, but I do n’t know how to write her name properly in Thai or English”.
” I’m wondering what happened to her. Maybe you can assist”?
The image and a message asking for the whereabouts of the Thai girl known as” Oi” were posted on Facebook along with the image.
