
Over the next few years, the information technology department announced on Monday that Amazon Web Services, the cloud services provider for Amazon, will spend about US$ 8.2 billion in Maharashtra, India’s northern state.
India has increased its efforts to test native sky data storage. The government’s cloud services business, which is estimated at US$ 8.3 billion in 2023, is expected to grow to US$ 24.2 billion by 2028, according to a report from International Data Corporation.
According to Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, “along with the funding, there will also be significant progress in employment,” adding that the assets will be made by 2029-2030.
According to Vaishnaw, Amazon will use its own graphics processing devices, the most recent technologies, and sky management services in India.
The e-commerce huge has two information centers in India, one of which was established in Mumbai in 2016 and the other of which was inaugurated in Hyderabad in 2022.
Amazon announced last year that it would spend an extra US$ 2 billion in Asia’s third-largest economy to grow its e-commerce business.
