All Move Forward MPs ‘will join new party’

Friday release of fresh party follows court-ordered disintegration, but with no’ cobras’ this period

All 143 MPs from the dissolved Move Forward Party ( MFP ) have applied for membership in a new party, confirmation that there will be no” cobras” in the now-disbanded opposition party.

All 143 of our parliamentarians are joining us, according to a statement from Move Forward, promising that there wo n’t be defections.

When Walk Forward’s father Future Forward was dissolved by a judge order in 2020, 10″ creatures” among its 81 Members moved to parties aligned with the military-linked state. When they re-elected in 2023, they each lost.

The dissolved party’s public relations staff announced on Thursday that Move Forward MPs will meet at a meeting to set up the new group at the Thai Summit Tower on New Phetchaburi Road in Bangkok on Friday.

The conference will elect party executives and establish policy guidelines and course for the party staff across the nation.

Around noon, the novel party’s founders and its leaders may be formally introduced. Beginning at 4 p.m., it will begin accepting website membership programs and gifts.

A welcome party for fresh group members will take place on Saturday at Bangkok’s Stadium One sporting community plaza on Banthat Thong Road. The fresh party managers will be welcomed by MPs, town council, and elected officials.

However, the public relations team has announced that former party executives may participate in the Provincial Administration Organization’s election campaign in Ratchaburi province on September 1.

On Wednesday, the House’s largest opposition party lost six people because six of its 11 professionals, who had been ordered by the Constitutional Court, were also on the list of MPs.

Sirikanya Tansakun, who is tipped to lead the new group, on Wednesday expressed confidence that all would walk to their “new house” on Friday.

” We have n’t checked the names but we are very confident that everyone will come with us”, she told reporters.

The 43-year-old analyst said the new party may do some things different, but the foundation would be the similar:” We will remain the main philosophy”.

According to now-banned chief assistant Pita Limjaroenrat, the party already identified a share of dozens of applicants from which it can build a network of frontrunners at various levels, ensuring that any new political force it supports you quickly prepare itself to combat elections.

Ms Sirikanya, the deputy chief of Move Forward, is not among the 11 banned group professionals.

Because it proposed to alter the lese-majeste laws and forbade its managers for ten years, the nine-judge board found Move Forward innocent of violating the constitutional monarchy and national security.

Move Forward MP for Chachoengsao, Jirat Thongsuwan, claimed on Tuesday that a government minister’s assistant had offered him 20 to 30 million baht before the court made its decision.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin reaffirmed on Wednesday that he was conscious of no cabinet ministers who had offered 20 to 30 million baht to MFP MPs as a way to urge them to switch sides.
