Agencies studying plans for new integrated transport hub as part of Tampines Regional Centre rejuvenation

Authorities in Singapore are examining plans for a fresh integrated transportation hub in Tampines to improve residents ‘ convenience and accessibility.

Masagos Zulkifli, the minister for social and family development and Tampines GRC Member of Parliament, stated that the 5-year masterplan ( 2025-2030 ) will” anchor a seamless pedestrian and active-mobility network” at the launch of the Tampines 5-Year Masterplan on Saturday ( Feb 22 ). &nbsp,

Other ideas include enhancing the commuter walking path between&nbsp, Tampines MRT place and the shops in Tampines, said Mr Masagos, which may set the stage for a “people-first city heart”.

Tampines ‘ city government cited success in developing industrial designs all over the world as inspiration.

The Land Transport Authority is currently looking into the conversion of element of Tampines Central 5 into a pedestrianized streets between the stores in Tampines Town Centre and Tampines MRT Station, according to the Land Transport Authority. &nbsp,

According to Mr. Masagos, government intend to convert the Tampines Regional Centre’s previously undeveloped land into fresh work, recreation, and community spaces.
