After a dark turn, Shia LaBeouf finds new faith

Whilst preparing for his new role, LaBeouf lived in a monastery along with Franciscan Capuchin friars.
“I know now that Our god was using our ego to draw me to Him. Drawing me away from worldly desires. It was all happening at the same time. But there might have been no impetus for me to get in the car, drive up [to the monastery] if I didn’t believe, ‘Oh, I’m gonna save my profession, ‘” he said.
