Actress Sora Ma becomes Singaporean for sake of baby son

After so many years, artist Sora Ma  is at previous a Singaporean. On Apr 16, the 41-year-old Malaysia-born celebrity took to her Instagram to tell her journey.  

” At the time, I was heavily pregnant, just one or two weeks away from giving birth. My girl, Karen suggested that I change my membership position to make it easier to manage my child’s matters in the future,” she said.

Ma  gave  birth to her son, Skye, who’s then nine months old, in August next year.  

Her  business father ,  known only to the people as Mr R,  died in June, two weeks before their son was born. He was   said to be 48 and his suicide was surprising.

The artist shared that she didn’t consider much about changing her citizen at first, but her sister’s words were a “wake-up contact” for her as she was still adjusting to handling all on her own.

Ma decided to write an email to her MP, Dr Koh Poh Koon, who has been representing Tampines GRC since 2020.

” I nevertheless remember sending it on a Saturday morning at 7. 06 AM. To my amazement, I received a email just 40 minutes afterwards, and the internet showed that he had responded from his mobile. I was really impressed by his productivity,” recalled Ma.

She had her papers available and went to Minister Koh’s company a week or two later.

” I’m never sure if my situation was distinct or if the MP’s engagement helped speed things up, but my membership application was approved much faster than expected! ” she said.

Ma finally received her bright Circuit and new membership on Jan 22, 2025, which happened to be her day.  

” A new holiday, a new beginning. No matter how hard life may become, I remain cheerful and happy of every step frontward,” wrote the actress.

Now this is ultimately home certainly for Ma.
