‘I wanted to stretch my limits’: How an SAF captain became the first woman to complete the Ranger course

A Collection TEST AND PREPARATION PROGRAM

Future trainees must total combat marches of between 4 km and 6 km while carrying a 20 kg field pack, among other requirements, as part of the preliminary fitness conditioning program.

The Special Forces Leadership School’s collection test, which includes an additional 8 km fight march that must be finished in 100 days, is finally administered at Pasir Ris Camp.

A 50-meter swim in standard and boots, a 5m self-confidence jump into the water with mock weapons, and the rapid removal of combat gear and weapons under are all required requirements for trainees.

The true heaven begins once you’ve passed all of this.

The 65-day Ranger training is divided into three stages. Employees take short breaks in between the stages, lasting a few hours each, during which they can visit their loved ones, take whatever they want, or stock up on items at the Beach Road Army Market.

Trainees are evaluated on their skill-based education competencies in the first step. This includes elements like a combat march, rappelling, boat training, southern swim, and weapons training.

They take part in field training activities during the second phase, performing back-to-back missions over the course of 20 days.

For the third phase, they then travel abroad to the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Australia, where they finish more field training exercises over a longer period of time and distance( 25 days andnbsp ).
