More than 34, 000 counterfeit branded perfumes smuggled from China were recently seize and the Consumer Protection Police Division ( CPPD ) raided five warehouses in Bangkok, seized from them, and had a street value of 4.3 million baht.
The CPPD’s captain, Pol Maj Gen Pattanasak Bupphasuwan, announced on Sunday that the procedure targeted suspected backup facilities in the Rat Burana and Bukkhalo sections of the money on Sunday.
During coordinated raids in five locations, 34, 806 false smell products, imitating well-known international brands, were found. According to Pol Maj Gen Pattanasak, the confiscated items were estimated to be worth 4, 361, 200 ringgit.
A Thai vendor who was previously under investigation for selling illegal cosmetics and fragrances was the source of the procedure. A further analysis revealed that the suspect had purchased the items from a Chinese businessman who had been importing them into Thailand. To avoid recognition, the counterfeit goods were hidden in numerous relocated stores.
Authorities spent months tracing the supply chain and obtaining court-issued warrants to attack the stores.
He claimed that the Chinese mastermind used animal bank accounts held by Thai nationals to get money from the illegal trade. Although the packaging for the fake perfumes was properly made to resemble genuine products, the packaging contained subpar items.
According to Pol Maj Gen Pattanasak,” False products can cause serious health risks, such as skin irritation, respiratory issues, nasal irritation, rashes, or even more extreme allergic reactions like high blood pressure, drowsiness, nausea, and vomiting.”
