A senior City Hall official claims that five more bodies have been recovered from the demolished State Audit Office ( SAO ) building.

All the bodies were discovered in Zone D between 10 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. on Thursday, according to Suriyachai Rawiwan, chairman of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office.

He claimed that heavy equipment is in use round-the-clock to find bodies that have been missing since the building decline. But, malfunctions or the need for part replacements often cause the work to be slowed down.

He continued,” Recovery groups were focused on opening debris in areas B and C to the place where the body are believed to be trapped.”

As of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, there were 68 proved incidents, with 26 more unaccounted for.

A senior DSI official reported that the Department of Special Investigation ( DSI) had invited SAO and contractor representatives and public works officials to observe the site’s documents being examined.

The anti-price collaboration office’s loon Lt Col Amorn Hongsrithong, who is in charge of the examination at this point, claimed that the examination at this point involved document sorting.

At the building site, 26 vessels contained 121 record boxes, totaling 121. The documents, which were not discovered at the SAO business during a previous research, apparently contained contracts, plans, financial records, building materials, purchase orders, and function records of Chinese and Thai engineers.

A total of 40 specialists were reportedly summoned to provide statements to the DSI, and nine confirmed the interview. The DSI is looking into the reported use of contenders by the business that won the contract.
