Yonhap News Agency reported on Tuesday ( Apr 29 ) that South Korean prosecutors are conducting a search of Yoon Suk Yeol’s private residence. Yoon’s attempt to impose military rules at the end of the year was voided on April 4.
According to Yonhap, investigators looking for evidence that may point to their contacts with the original president and his wife were looking for records and evidence, according to Yonhap.
If authorities had entered the building, it was not immediately apparent, Yonhap said.
The Seoul Southern District Lawyers ‘ Office, which is in charge of the situation, could not be reached for comment.
Yoon had resisted efforts by investigators to browse the official presidential residence on December 14 despite his opposition to his impeachment by parliament, citing security concerns and the protection of classified documents.
On April 11, he relocated to his personal property.
