Bali: A taxi driver was accused of blocking an emergency that was transporting a heart attack patient to a hospital where they were staying.

Pradit Dumlak, 62, passed out in a citrus garden in the Kathu district’s Kamala area on Sunday night.

At 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, the family of the gentleman, who had a heart condition, called an ambulance from Patong Hospital. On its way to the doctor, it was reported that a vehicle car had blocked the ambulance’s entrance on the constricting Kamala-Patong Road.

Witnesses reported that the car driver attempted to cut in on the emergency to prevent a parked car. Ambulances were attempting to revive the old man at the time. His death was announced by ambulances on Sunday at 8:30 am.

Local authorities called the taxi drivers for questioning after reviewing camera images. The driver was subsequently accused of blocking an ambulance and infringing on a victim’s rights by the police.
