According to the Education Ministry, a rule requiring the substitution of hunter clothes with regular school clothes will go into effect this month before the new school expression, which may begin in the middle of May.
Surasak Phancharoenworakul, the deputy minister of education, reported on Wednesday that the Thai National Scout Organization was in the process of removing the requirement for students to wear hunter uniforms in state-run schools.
This month will be the announcement and impact of the cancellation, which is intended to save parents money on the cost of scout uniforms. Formal, education, and informal are the three types of clothes that are available.
After the regulations become effective, schools will develop the hunter education on an individual basis, and they will decide how learners should dress for hunter classes. Most schools will begin using the new expression on May 15.
In the event that it becomes clear that the former rule has been actually waived, the deputy minister advised parents to hold off purchasing scouting uniforms for the new expression.
Education Minister Pol Gen Permpoon Chidchob has recently stated that teachers and students may wear student clothes for scouting activities. Additionally, he noted that ethnic minority students may use their traditional attire at a school.
To reduce costs, rural schools may simply allow students to wear a Hunter hat and scarf with their standard student uniform. The secretary noted that Scout Day and other formal occasions are best attended by students in conventional uniforms.
