GE2025: PAP team led by Grace Fu to face Red Dot United line-up in Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC

On May 3rd, voters in Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC will choose between a People’s Action Party ( PAP ) slate led by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu and a Red Dot United team.

Candidates from both parties had a successful nomination filing deadline of Wednesday ( Apr 23 ) at Nan Hua High School in Clementi. &nbsp,

After more than a decade, Ms Fu has made her returning to a GRC stone. Prior to taking over the head of Yuhua SMC, she originally served as an MP in Jurong GRC from 2006 to 2011.

Newcomer donation director David Hoe, past Hougang member Lee Hong Chuang, minister of state for health and for online growth and knowledge Rahayu Mahzam, and minister of state for travel and regulation Murali Pillai make up the ruling party’s five-member team.

Ms. Fu made an apparent reference to the richness of her group in terms of age and background when she addressed the media after the election process was complete.

” It’s a new GRC, but it’s a pretty new team. I believe that both parties may begin fresh. However, we’d like to believe that our five years of walking the earth and many more years of assisting the residents have given us a better understanding of the terrain,” she said.

So we’re looking for a great battle, and it’s also a good time to also give our plans a closer look at what we can do for them in the prospect.

When asked if she feels any force given that the former Jurong GRC was a PAP enclave in previous elections, Ms Fu responded that” there’s always stress, but it’s a good stress,” adding that she is “assisted by very able friends.”

A RDU team, led by Liyana Dhamirah, director of the non-profit organization Osman Sulaiman, artist Ben Puah, director of the marketing agency Marcus Neo, and main software engineer Harish Mohanadas, may be present in the different corner. &nbsp,

Ms. Liyana and Mr. Osman both ran for the Singapore People’s Party in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, respectively, in the previous vote for Jurong GRC under the RDU.

The issue is distinct, Mr. Neo stated in a speech to supporters after the group’s election was confirmed, as well as whether you live comfortably or from ticket to ticket, whether your children face cruel job competition from non-citizens, or whether your home does hold its value or disappear after 99 years.
