Ms. Lau held the position of one of the Ministry of Health’s ( MOH) most senior civil servants, where she was in charge of crucial areas like regulatory policies, financing, and healthcare manpower.
She began her public services job in 2006, and she has since held a number of positions, including one at MOH from 2013 to 2019.
Beyond the MOH, Ms. Lau held important positions at the Ministry of Manpower, the Public Service Division, the Economic Development Board, and the Ministry of Finance.
She claimed that she had consulted with a lot of different participants from all over the world, examined the whole picture, and combined these to come up with good coverage choices.  ,
I think I will be able to provide Singaporeans effectively as a result of my experience, which will then serve as the solid foundation for my new court of politics, she said.  ,
Ms. Lau, a mother of two, expressed hope that the Singaporean children will grow up in a nation “where our differences are our source of strength rather than our break.”
” It has to be a Singapore where colleagues from different backgrounds have also come up to accomplish something far greater,” said Ms. Lau.
” Yes, Singapore will go through some difficult times, repeatedly and consistently, but I think that the Singapore we have may have collectively stronger with respect, mutual dependence, and mutual love in the days to come.”
She continued,” to learn about your life, your goals, and your problems,” adding that she hopes to meet many more individuals, particularly Ang Mo Kio people.
Ms. Lau questioned why she made the decision to enter politics despite the loss of protection and regular attention from the general public.
It’s also important for me to step up, because this is a significant community event. When we make the decision to advance, it is not as innovative as launching a new career or job. After the introduction, she told writers,” It’s the whole household putting ourselves, our heads, and our biographies out there for people to see, to justice.”  ,
Ms. Lau argued that role ultimately comes down. When you’re asked to step up and serve, you’ll just happy also go out there and do it as best as you can.
