3 men arrested for illegally entering Singapore waters; coast guard officer injured in chase

The Police Coast Guard detained three men for entering Singapore’s territorial waters without permission on Saturday ( Apr 19 ), according to the Singapore Police Force ( SPF).

Coast guard officials spotted an unexplained over while patrolling along the waterways near Pulau Sarimbun, an area off Singapore’s northern coast, according to the SPF, on Friday around 2.05pm.

The over veered off in the direction of Malaysia as the officers approached.

The soldiers then followed the over, which engaged in “dangerous manoeuvres,” according to SPF.

Two people fell over but were able to climb up onto the over throughout the course of the fight, which took place within Singapore territorial waters.

The coast guard vessel was stopped double as a result of the sampan’s collision with it, according to the police. &nbsp,
