
The Progress Singapore Party ( PSP) announced its candidate slate for Chua Chu Kang GRC on Saturday ( Apr 19 ), with newcomer Lawrence Pek joining three potential newcomers.
Following vice-chairpersonA’bas Kasmani, Wendy Low, Wendy Low, S Nallakaruppan, S Nallakaruppan, and Mr. Pek, a former Singapore Manufacturing Federation secretary-general, make up the party’s team.  ,
In the prior vote, Mr.A’bas, a security practitioner, and Ms. Low, a lawyer, contested under the PSP’s banner. Stockbroker Mr. Nallakaruppan was a member of the Nee Quickly GRC PSP staff in 2020.  ,
They are expected to experience a PAP team led by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, former deputy prime minister Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, visitors Jeffrey Siow, a former civil maid, and Choo Pei Ling, an associate professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, along with former assistant deputy prime minister Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim.  ,
In the most recent political boundaries review, the Chua Chu Kang GRC, which has 93, 368 citizens, received boundary changes. Tengah lands and locations from Holland-Bukit Timah are now included in parts of Hong Kong North.  ,
Additionally, the GRC was carved out of a brand-new Bali Gombak SMC. Low Yen Ling, a former member of the PAP’s Chua Chu Kang granite, may challenge the SMC.
The PAP stone for the 2020 election included Mr. Gan, Ms. Low, Zhulkarnain, and Mr. Don Wee, who has since stated he won’t run for office in this election. With 58.64 percent of the ballot, the crew won.
Former Republic of Singapore Air Force colonel captain Francis Yuen, past Institute of Policy Studies research fellow Dr. Tan Meng Wah, former law student Hua Shaun Ming, and previous fire safety engineer Abdul Rahman Mohamad were among the candidates for the PSP in 2020.
Tensions between the two parties started to escalate earlier this year when their volunteers began to accuse one another of harassing one another during walkabouts, which led to statements from party leaders, including Mr. Gan, Ms. Low, and PSP chairman Tan Cheng Bock.
