
Indonesian authorities are looking into a popular movie featuring university students dressed as the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) in malaya, which has sparked anger online.
A police report regarding the video was received on Tuesday ( Apr 15 ) at around 7.24pm, according to Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman.
The students ‘ act was defended by Universiti Teknologi MARA ( UTITM), who claimed their wearing of the extremist group’s clothing was a requirement for the course’s” Contemporary Global and Legal Issues” assignment.  ,

According to preliminary studies, the film was reportedly part of an essay under the heading” Contemporary Global and Legal Issues” and featured a reenactment of the dark community’s historically oppressed US by the radical KKK, according to Norhizam in a speech on Wednesday, as reported by local advertising.
Norhizam added that the lecture given by the students was believed to be intended to increase awareness of racial prejudice and how new laws have been passed to solve it.  ,

The Ku Klux Klan, or the KKK, is a white nationalist organization that was established in the 1860s and has previously promoted sexist beliefs and terrorist acts against minority groups, especially African-Americans.
UiTM stated in a statement on Tuesday that the outfits and visual elements were meant to “enhance understanding and appreciation of the subject presented” and to “provide a more complete picture from both traditional and global perspectives.
According to the statement,” The visible approach used is part of a instructional method to help high-impact delivery in the classroom, in line with the program targets that promote critical thinking and political awareness among individuals.”  ,
UiTM further confirmed that the event occurred at the university’s school in Dengkil, Selangor.  ,
