Flash floods hit parts of Singapore after afternoon downpour: PUB

Singapore: According to the national water agency PUB, heavy rain fell across the island on Sunday afternoon ( Apr 13 ). This resulted in flash floods in some areas of Singapore.

Restaurant stated in a Twitter post that it was is issuing flood risk alerts for 13 areas, including Punggol, Yishun, Toa Payoh, and Bukit Timah, where heavy rain has caused high water levels in empties and canals.

Along Yishun Avenue 7 ( near the intersection of Yishun Street 22 ), along Punggol Way ( slip road to the Tampines Expressway ), and along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway ( on the slip road to Buangkok East Drive ), flash floods occurred and broke out.

” To assist drivers, the Land Transport Authority’s car restoration team and traffic marshall were deployed,” according to PUB’s rapid response team and the PUB’s rapid response team.

Within an afternoon, it added, flooding at all three sites had subsided.
