South Korea says one worker missing in rail construction site collapse

A second worker has been located but is still trapped in the rubble, while one is still missing following the collapse of a rail construction site in South Korea on Friday ( Apr 11 ), according to the national fire agency.

Workers were constructing a new passenger rail range that will join the capital’s center with the suburbs in Gwangmyeong, south of the funds Seoul.

According to press reports, holes were discovered in an underground wall immediately and reported to authorities.

The incident comes after a fatal decline of a roadway construction site in Anseong, south of Seoul, in February and a 20-meter sinkhole in Seoul that resulted in the death of a motorist in March.
