Singaporean woman killed in Spain: Court orders DNA found on her clothes to be compared with suspect’s

A local news outlet reported on Wednesday ( Apr 9 ) that a judge had ordered the DNA of a man who is suspected of killing a Singaporean woman in Spain to be compared to two DNA samples found on her clothing.

More than 30 stab wounds were discovered in Audrey Fang’s brain in April 2024. Mitchell Ong, a Singaporean, is suspected of killing her. Soon after her body was discovered, he was detained.

The DNA of two people was discovered on Ms. Fang’s underwear last month, according to a report.

Ong’s genetic account has been ordered to be compared with the examples found, according to a report from Spanish news channel La Verdad on Wednesday.

No signs of penis were found in any of the tests, according to a criminal record, and the amount of DNA found was in a “low quantity”

Mara Jess Ruiz de Castaeda, a defense attorney, requested the test because she just retained Ong as a customer.

She claimed that the assume is denying killing Ms. Fang and admits to having taken her to Abanilla’s rural area.

Additionally, the attorney requested a novel analysis of the phone service companies operating in the area where the murder took place.

The family attorney representing Ms. Fang’s family, Mr. Manuel Martinez, objected to the start of fresh investigations.

The prosecutor rebuffed the request for a new research on phone service providers, calling it “repetitive.”

At the start of the investigation, a preliminary study was already being conducted, and the prosecutor argued that the defense’s new time frame and new individuals ‘ claims were unsupported by any “indicative facts.”

Since his imprisonment, Ong has not yet made a speech.
