On Friday, a strong 7.7-magnitude quake struck near the northern Myanmar town of Mandalay. &nbsp,

Soon after, Myanmar’s military commander Min Aung Hlaing made a rare contact for foreign assistance.

But observers said crisis response in hard-hit regions has been hampered by several factors. These include a lack of exposure to support and proper tools, destroyed bridges and communications facilities, and the ongoing issue. &nbsp,

” The earthquake has consequences in parts of the country that are not so easy to access, where control is disputed, and those areas are going to be harder to reach”, said Alexander Matheou, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies ‘ ( IFRC ) Asia Pacific director. &nbsp,

” The core is available, but not all the people affected, I may think at this point, are seeing support”. &nbsp, &nbsp,
