
After a major power station fire that temporarily grounded planes at the London air hub, Singapore Airlines ( SIA ) has resumed full service to Heathrow.
SQ308, which left from Changi Airport to Heathrow on Saturday ( Mar 22 ), was the first SIA flight to depart at 9am.  ,
Another Heathrow-bound flights, SQ318, SQ322, and SQ312, are scheduled to depart on Saturday.
SQ305 and SQ317, two Heathrow planes, were canceled.
However, according to the site for Heathrow Airport, different SIA flights departing from London on Saturday were operating as planned.
A spokesperson for the airport confirmed shortly after 4 p.m. that some airlines were” now securely able to begin some airlines today.”
The spokesperson stated that “our second flights may be relocation planes and relocating aircraft.” We anticipate having a whole activity tomorrow. ( Saturday )”.
Tens of thousands of people searched for limited hotel rooms and alternative seats as airlines tried to return jets and crew to bases after the closure of the fifth-busiest airport in the world for the majority of Friday.
Up to 291, 000 passengers were flying up to the airport on Friday, which the aircraft had been scheduled to handle, but some long-haul flights were diverted to different airports in the UK and Europe.
SQ308 among them, which was returning to Changi Airport while it was on its approach to London.  ,
The flight made off at around 9.42am, turned round off the coastline of Bangladesh, and made its way to 4.23pm, according to information from Flightradar24’s website flight tracking service.
