On the Chinese AI before, domestic company Manus, which was featured for the first time in a state media broadcast on Thursday, praised Beijing’s method of boosting domestic AI companies that have received international recognition.

Foreign investors have been looking for the next home business with the ability to destroy the global tech order because China’s DeepSeek shocked Silicon Valley by releasing AI models that were similar to those of its US competitors but developed for a fraction of the cost.

Some have criticized Manus. The business made a few weeks ago when it released what it claimed to be the first basic AI agent in the world who could make decisions and carry out tasks independently, much less pressure than AI chatbots like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, which went viral on X.

Beijing is now beginning to show signs that it will help Manus ‘ implementation in China, an improvement over its response to DeepSeek’s victory.

State broadcaster CCTV on Thursday dedicated a picture on the distinction between its AI adviser and DeepSeek’s AI robot and dedicated broadcast cover to Manus for the first time.

Beijing’s provincial government also made the announcement that a Chinese version of an earlier Manus item, a Monica AI assistant, had passed the registration requirements for relational AI programs in China, clearing a significant regulatory obstacle.

Chinese regulators have mandated that all generative AI applications released in China adhere to strict guidelines, some of which were intended to prevent Beijing from deeming the content of these products to be sensitive or harmful.

Manus and the team responsible for Alibaba’s Qwen AI models announced a strategic partnership last week.

According to the startup, the move could boost the domestic rollout of Manus ‘ AI agent, which is currently only accessible to users with invite codes and has a 2 million-strong waiting list.
