
SINGAPORE: On Tuesday ( Mar 18 ), an intoxicated man who urinated on an MRT train was imprisoned for a week and fined S$ 2, 000 ( US$ 1, 500 ).  ,
The prosecution’s testimony in court included a description of how commuters stepped on Meksuwan Suwapit’s blood as the train moved and spread across the floors.  ,
Meksuwan, a 37-year-old Thai nationwide, admitted to performing an outrageous act in public and causing a common problem. Additionally, he admitted to a fee of appearing drunk in public, which was taken into account when determining his imprisonment.  ,
The prosecutor was informed that Meksuwan, an inspector engineer, met some friends for drinks in England on January 25th of this year.  ,
He boarded the train at Somerset MRT Station days later and headed home to Jurong East after drinking a bottle of red wine from around 4.30pm.  ,
The drunken Meksuwan urinated in the station house shortly after 8o’clock. At the time, the coach was passing between Khatib MRT train and Ang Mo Kio MRT station.  ,
