
SINGAPORE: A man who used threatening behaviour toward an airport shuttle bus driver at Changi Airport in January was charged in court on Friday ( Mar 14 ).
Xu Yixuan was at the exit vehicle sea of Changi Airport Terminal 1 on Jan 31 when he reportedly blocked the flight bus and confronted it.  ,
According to the authorities, Xu was upset as the flight bus had changed paths along Airport Boulevard.
The 30-year-old personal use automobile drivers reportedly tailgated the shuttle bus and used his vehicle to prevent it.
Xu therefore exited his car and began gesticulating and shouting epithets at the flight bus driver, the authorities said.  ,
When the shuttle van driver attempted to drive away, Xu allegedly kicked its front passenger door and violently threw his mobile phone at it.
The police were alerted to the debate and , Xu was arrested at the field.
In court on Friday, Xu was handed one matter of causing a common problem and one count of using menacing attitude towards a common service worker. This is for supposedly stopping his car in front of the vehicle, which caused annoyance, and for the violent acts towards the van.
Xu indicated to the judge that he would be pleading guilty. He said he would be applying for a prosecutor from the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme.  ,

If convicted of committing a public nuisance, Xu could be jailed for up to three months, fined up to S$ 2, 000 ( US$ 1, 500 ), or both.
For using menacing attitude against a public company employee, he could be jailefor d up to 12 weeks, fined up to S$ 5, 000, or both.
